Sprint the Bay 2011 - 6 Sprint Orienteering races in 3 days, held in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand.
At the sharp end of the field, Julian Dent (Australia) and Angela Simpson (NZ) took out the Yellow jerseys after some hotly contested racing. I was well down amongst the also-rans, but I loved every second of it. I avoided mispunching (ie:disqualification), and had a crack at the Green jersey, but couldn’t dislodge young Aussie Ian Lawford.
