I have always struggled to understand the runner’s high. For me, the real high tends to wait until after I’ve finished a workout and am fired up by whatever I have just accomplished. Every now and again I will get flashes of that floating sensation mid-run, and yes, some of my marathon memories are considerably hazier than others, but ultimately I have never been able to fully buy into the runner’s high as something tangible enough for me to truly describe. This video comes as close as I could possibly hope to achieving that. It’s also beautiful. That much I can confidently assert.
