Bags packed
I fly down to the South Island tomorrow evening, and my bags are already packed. Robb flies in on Friday. I’ll collect him and we’ll head up to Cheviot, where the race is based. We’re staying at this charming establishment and I’m already looking forward to a good nights sleep.
World 24hr Rogaining Championships 2010 will kick off at 12pm on Saturday. It’ll be a treat to see world class navigators in action, and to see how they tackle the route planning aspect of the race. Robb & I will do our own thing, and being undercooked will just try to hold it together through the wee small hours without nav errors or breaking physically. Once the sun rises, we’ll assess our prospects for collecting points on the run home… come 12pm Sunday I’ll have Goal #3 in the bag.
There are those butterflies again!
